A development project that kind of dropped off our radar reappears via some new renderings today, via Curbed, and dear god it’s another enormous hotel and arts center that will help to completely transform the mid-Market corridor.

The project, 950-974 Market Street, sits across from the coming retail center dubbed Market Street Place (between 5th and 6th), and will be a 250-room hotel with 15,000 square feet of new retail and 316 residential units. In deference to the city, which has been trying to create an arts district around this area (and on the same block as The Warfield), 75,000 square feet will be devoted to something called the 950 Center for Arts & Education. The arts center will have its own entrance facing the colorful corner of Turk and Taylor.

via Holy God, 950-974 Market Street Is Going To Be Huge: SFist.
