The Castro could get a food emporium similar to Oakland’s Rockridge Market Hall under a revised plan that developer Forest City Enterprises has submitted to the San Francisco Planning Department.

The proposed 88-unit project at 2175 Market St, which will replace a gas station on the corner of Market and 15th streets, calls for a 6,300 square foot on the ground floor. But Forest City is seeking to convert the straight retail into a mix of retail and eating and drinking establishments, according to public documents.
